Julie has enjoyed participating in the Jewish community since her childhood in Kansas, where she was involved with camp and youth groups. She continued to be active in college in Hillel at University of Pennsylvania and became a solicitor for the local Federation. She is also involved with Camp Ramah, the University of Pennsylvania’s Center for Advanced Judaic Studies, University of Pennsylvania Hillel, Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies, Sinai Temple and Sinai Akiba Academy Day School.
