the Wire is a publication of the The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles, the largest Jewish philanthropic organization in the LA area.

The Federation is uniquely able to strengthen Jewish identity, help those in need and ensure the Jewish future by partnering with a host of organizations dedicated to making Jewish life all it can be. Only Federation has the strength of community that makes it possible to harness the power of our shared desire to do for those who cannot do for themselves, convene the community in times of crisis, meet the challenges we face today and work for the well-being of generations to come. As a result, the Federation helps hundreds of  thousands of people in Los Angeles, Israel and over 50 countries around the world. It happens every day, thanks to the strength of community.
